At the end of the exhibition season 2012 the Bündner Kunstmuseum Chur presents the annual show of artists from Graubünden. The exhibition provides an overview of the current artwork in and from Graubünden. This year 52 artists were invited to show their work.

Once again the popular Jahresausstellung der Bündner Künstlerinnen und Künstler is the conclusion of the exhibition season at the Bündner Kunstmuseum Chur. Eligible are artists who are citizens of Graubünden or who grew up here, as well as those who have been permanent residents in the canton for at least one year. The artists have applied for participation in the exhibition with a documentation and an exhibition proposal for a maximum of three works. All of the entries were juried, meaning they were either admitted to the show or rejected. The jury consisted of one representative of the Bündner Kunstverein (Nina von Albertini), two representatives of the artists from Graubünden (Corsin Fontana, Ursula Palla), one member elected by free choice (Caroline Morand, Kulturfachstelle Stadt Chur) as well as of an external expert (Dorothee Messmer, Director Kunstmuseum Olten). Of the 149 applicants the jury has admitted 52 artists to participate in the exhibition. This year the Bündner Kunstmuseum is again making the Sulserbau and also parts of the Villa Planta available for a lavish presentation of the works.

Thursday evening during the exhibition there is a public tour as well as an art bar, inviting an exchange between the artists and an interested public.
