Franziska Furter (*1972) who lives in Basel is invited to realise a site-specific installation in the Labor of the Art Museum Graubünden. The Labor in the extension building of the Art Museum Graubünden has the function of an art gallery, which serves as an experimental platform for younger artists, as well as for special exhibition formats. Franziska Furter’s work fluctuates between drawing and sculpture, between wall and space. Her two dimensional works often occupy space-consuming dimensions and her spatial works are based on the line and retain the subtlety and delicacy of drawings. What is visualised as line or structure takes shape by means of a variety of different materials, as though an artistic idea manifested itself in different conditions of aggregation.
