In Graubünden too contemporary art is characterized by its breathtaking diversity. With open minds and open eyes, artists today open new windows onto the world and thereby add a further field of themes to our collection alongside artistic preoccupation with the landscape specific to Graubünden or the region as a cultural entity and the importance of tourism there.
The Art Museum Graubünden aspires to allocating ample attention to the various approaches as well as especially considering aspects particularly relevant to Graubünden. In the process we take a look beyond the borders and give our audience the opportunity of experiencing art and art history from different perspectives as well as of viewing art indigenous to the region in a new light. Works by Richard Long, Hamish Fulton, Markus Raetz, or Roman Signer make important contributions towards achieving this.
