After a construction period lasting a good two years the Grisons Museum of fine Arts Chur opens in June 2016. Apart from the renovated Villa Planta a new building by the architects Barozzi/Vega will then be available for the presentation of the collection as well as for temporary exhibitions. The characteristic new building convinces with its precise and clear positioning within the architectural setting and enters into a dialogue with the historical villa. Side by side the two buildings become one museum. Inside, well-proportioned rooms for the collection and an open-plan space structure for temporary exhibitions permit the necessary concentration on art.
