The Art Museum Graubünden presents the first comprehensive exhibition in Switzerland by the internationally renowned artist Susan Hefuna. Developed in close collaboration with the artist, the exhibition offers a representative overview of her diverse body of work.
Susan Hefuna was born in 1962 and grew up in Egypt, Germany, and Austria. Today she lives in Germany and Switzerland. Her artistic practice includes drawing, photography, installation, video, and performance.
Susan Hefuna explores the interplay of place, time, and perception. Her work reflects the duality of public and private spaces and opens new perspectives on subjective perceptions and realities. Hefuna’s work tells poetic stories of cities, landscapes, and cultural dialogues, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in her artistic world and to perceive connections across borders. A special focus of the exhibition is on the cultural region of Graubünden and its relationship with the world beyond.
